Best Umbrella for Oregon
by Ariana from Eugene on 6/15/2009
Bright Night umbrellas are the best ever. They are mostly indestructible. I am not easy on things: I don't treat them nicely: and I carry this umbrella a good 200 days out of the year, because I stubbornly refuse to move out of Oregon. They sent me a replacement even after I figured out the cause of the demise of my first umbrella (someone slammed it in a door, breaking one rib). That is what it took for mine to give up the ghost - I dare you to try that with your minature folding umbrella.
I have whacked my Water Beads umbrella into people, used it as a cane, and a flashlight, pulled it (open) behind a car at 10mph (accidentally!), carried it in documented 30mph wind gusts, spilled hot coffee onit, loaned to my teenage son and my clumsy coworker, and generally treated it with massive disrespect. In spite of all of this it has never gone dim, turned inside out, allowed me to get wet, or stopped looking stylish or being functional. It is big enough that you will stay dry even in the worst of downpours, and well-designed enough that is is hassle free to carry. I am now on my second Bright Night and anticipate that this one will last many more years. You could buy a six dollar disposable umbrella every year for the next five years, or you could do youself a great favor and buy one of these.
Overall: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
